5 Top Finds At The Babyshow

We can’t believe it’s been a week since The Baby Show finished! We had an amazing weekend.  It’s always refreshing to meet our customers in person especially those of you that we speak to regularly via email or social media.  We also love networking with other businesses and meeting other business owners and staff.  We won’t lie when we say the fact that we have 3 childfree nights in a hotel with good food, beer and company is also a big appeal! We get to meet celebs and we really get to showcase our products.

Whilst walking around the show we like to chose 5 of our favourite stands to tell you about and this year we’ve decided to do it in a blog.  There were some amazing products there this year and also some amazing products missing that we normally see.  So here we go in no particular order our Top 5 Finds at The Baby Show.

Kicks Count

Kicks Count is a UK charity aiming to empower expectant mums with knowledge of baby movements during pregnancy. A baby’s movements indicate its wellbeing and a reduction in fetal movement can be a key warning sign that a baby is in distress. By understanding their baby, trusting their instincts and recognising and reporting a change in movement, mums can help ensure the healthy delivery of their baby.

This year Kicks Count gave our 1500 goodie bags full of samples, leaflets and freebies.  Not only that they ran their usual tombola to help raise funds.

*I am running the Great North Run this Year to raise funds for Kicks Count.  Text GUMI50 and your donation to 70070 if you would like to donate.

My Little Duckling

My Little Duckling caught our eye immediately with their beautiful, fun and imaginative hats for babies and toddlers, boys and girls.  Seriously how cute are these pilot hats?! As you can imagine this stand was very very busy.

Not Before Tea

Not before Tea were directly opposite us at the Show and looked just lovely.  Then on closer inspection we read the reason behind Not Before Tea and loved them even more.  Based on the Adventures of Sherb and Pip, a story written by Henry Patterson when he was 10 years old (now 12) based on stories he used to hear from his grandparents.

Henry’s story has been in the press at home and abroad including Forbes magazine, the world’s biggest business title. He has also made several television appearances.  He was the youngest person ever to be interviewed on CNBC’s breakfast business show Squawk Box, he was named One to Watch by the Independent in August 2014 and he appeared on The One Show with Richard Branson.

i-Angel – by Dinky Dragons

i-Angel was also fairly close to us.  I always remember carriers and slings and how akward I found them.  These just look amazing and so comfortable for baby and toddler.  This stand was never quiet and the show offers were incredible.  A huge plus is that the ladies on the stand were really lovely 🙂

Dinky Dragon introduces the next generation baby carrier to the UK. The innovative i-angel hipseat carrier takes the weight of your shoulders! The i-angel hipseat carrier gives more comfortable weight distribution, meaning you can carry your child for longer, in daily use and from baby to toddler.  It is 3 carriers in one saving you from buying 3 separate products!

What can we say about Snuglo.  Supercute Babygrows Designed and Made in England! They also do bibs, hats and dummy’s.  These really do make a great gift and I bought from them for my brother and sister in law who are expecting later this year! I couldn’t think of a better gift – other than a Gumigem of course lol!

So that was our top 5 Finds this year … we hope you stick with us until next year and we really hope to see these guys again too!
